Just a few more days!

Hey there! What’s up? I started of quite late realizing i wanted to make a travel blog. But okay, here it is. First I’ll give you a general overview of me and some personal travel related experience, then we’ll talk about the journey ahead! Please give any comments, request or questions when you’ve them!

Maurice, that’s my name, a 22 year old kid. I’m interested in exploring (new) cultures, live in other countries (I’m Dutch) and habits of other people. That is what drives my wanderlust. I went to a few countries (list would be somewhere on this page) already and would like to live in Asia for a few years. It’s my third time (actually more, but last time was 7 months with a few days off) traveling to India, as I would say, a country of diversity. Furthermore I am (almost) done with studies, would be working in Dublin from October onwards and am interested in sports, heritage and nature.

What brings me to India this time? India never stops to amaze. It’s just always challenging finding your way around and everywhere you’re there’s a new impression. People are open and want to know the person who’s a guest in their country. Furthermore, Indian do have their way of dealing with things, which isn’t necessary the way Europeans would do it. Besides the people and there open culture I am aiming to see some more of their diversity, as you can see in our travel plan, we will be going from middle to north and middle to south (and back to middle) which I covering a lot of India. It’s generally know that the people from the south are different from those up north.

The food is another main attraction for me, with so much different types, flavours, breads, things, it is one of the things you’ve to experience in India. (you can expect some food reviews in my future blogs). And last but not least the aim is to see a lot of different sights and sides of India, from overcrowded cities, to quiet nature and much more!
